First Minister Arlene Foster enjoyed the entrepreneurial skills on display at Young Enterprise NI’s annual Trade Fair at Rushmere Shopping Centre recently.
Ms Foster spent time talking with the students in their small project groups, following their spending the academic year developing business plans while harnessing new skills in entrepreneurship and business management.
The trade fair gives the students’ companies the opportunity to showcase their products, bring them to market and test their sales skills by trading with the general public.
Young Enterprise businesses attended the Rushmere Trade Fair from across the region, including Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon, Crossmaglen, Dungannon, Lurgan, Newry, Omagh and Portadown with cross-border visitors from Dundalk.
Young Enterprise is a charity, supported by the Department of Education and local businesses. This year’s prizes included support from the Department for Communities, to encourage student companies demonstrating commitment to social innovation across Northern Ireland.
