In a first for the city centre, CastleCourt is offering Belfast visitors the chance to visit its iconic Santa’s Grotto to meet Mr Claus and receive a special gift – completely free of charge.
The shopping centre, which is a must-go destination for families and fashionistas alike over the festive period, will be providing free admission to its spectacular Santa’s Grotto every day, up to and including Christmas Eve.
Securing its place at the heart of the city’s spectacular overall festive offering, CastleCourt’s big-hearted move marks the 25th anniversary since the launch of its now-famous Grotto and annual Santa Parade, which earlier this month attracted thousands of visitors. It follows news that access to the city’s main shopping thoroughfare is to reopen from Monday 3rd December.
CastleCourt’s Santa’s Grotto will also observe a quiet hour this year to ensure all shoppers enjoy the occasion as much as possible. On Saturday 1st December, from 10am – 11am Santa and his elves will have no music or flashing lights.
Santa’s elves will also have workshops every Saturday and Sunday in the run-up to Christmas, at the Royal Avenue entrance from 1-6pm each day. Inside the workshops will be free arts and crafts by ArtsEkta for the little ones to enjoy. This will include making gingerbread men, Danish Christmas hearts and so much more. Come and enjoy the magic!
