LK Communications is delighted to be shortlisted in the PRCA Digital Awards 2020 for ‘Best Use Of Social Media Influencers in a Campaign’ for its work with Visit Belfast in delivering a powerful tourism destination campaign – ‘Make It Belfast’.

Make It Belfast was a fully integrated campaign, taking place from May-August 2019. Working with Visit Belfast and Ardmore, the campaign utilised above the line and digital media, radio broadcast, print and online editorial and a targeted social media influencer campaign to encourage residents and visitors alike to spend a day in the city and enjoy its unrivalled shopping, hospitality and unique events on offer.

LK Communications engaged a number of prolific social media influencers to act as ambassadors for the city, with each given a bespoke itinerary to generate authentic content that would resonate with key audiences.

Showcasing the best of Belfast, eight influencers undertook a bespoke activity each week over the summer period.

The impact was huge – generating a campaign reach of over 4.1 million and profiling and engaging over 130 Belfast businesses.

From showcasing the best in summer fashion, to finding Belfast’s hidden retail gems, to celebrating independent traders and sniffing out the best places to eat, the campaign connected audiences with the City and showcased Belfast’s widespread offering.

The PRCA Digital Awards 2020 will recognise leading-edge PR and communications work and celebrate the best of the digital PR and communications profession. As the only agency in Northern Ireland to make the overall shortlist, LK Communications is delighted to represent the Northern Ireland region in these major industry awards.

The PRCA Digital Awards 2020 will take place on Tuesday 17th March 2020. Wish us luck!
