Crowned Gold winner in the Best Travel, Leisure or Tourism Campaign for their work delivering the Armagh Food & Cider Festival 2018, judges commented that they were “blown away” by the entry, particularly the research undertaken for this campaign, including surveys, perception audits, TGI and Ofcom data and official tourism insights. Judges praised the agency for “a well thought out and focused strategy with a targeted multi-media channel approach was clearly executed well in delivery. LK Communications has delivered an excellent example of measurement and evaluation, linking back to objectives. The judges were particularly impressed with the results of increased visitor numbers and securing future funding, all delivered with a modest PR budget.”

Armagh Food & Cider Festival was also awarded Gold for Best Use of Content, with judges commending the campaign’s rich content; “In an increasingly competitive market, this campaign attracted festival goers with rich content that focused on the quality and variety of Armagh’s finest food and ingredients through expert chefs, media relations and experiential tactics. The use of robust data gave excellent grounding to developing creative content.”

The leading PR and communications agency was also awarded Silver in the Regional Campaign category for its work with Lidl Northern Ireland in delivering on the retailer’s ‘Community Works’ initiative to drive greater awareness of Lidl’s commitment to community by linking more consumers to its local relevance.
